How to use TW CLI

TW_CLI is a CLI tool for 3Ware RAID cards configuration. It provides in-depth control, various RAID configurations, monitoring and general tweaking of the present devices.<\/p>\n
The following are a few examples of some useful commands.<\/p>\n
You can either invoke the tool by 1. inserting tw_cli followed by enter or 2. run the commands directly by including the tw_cli as the first argument.<\/p>\n
tw_cli > Enter > \/\/hostname > show.
\ntw_cli show > output on new line.
\n* Show controller details and configuration

\n* List controllers<\/p>\n
tw_cli show<\/p>\n

* Remove drive from configuration

* Rescan devices

* Export disk
\ntw_cli \/c0\/p0 export<\/p>\n
* Send rebuild request, p0 is the new drive in degree mode.
\ntw_cli maint rebuild c0 u1 p0<\/p>\n
* Delete unit
\ntw_cli maint deleteunit c0 u1<\/p>\n
* Add disk as spare
\ntw_cli \/c0 add raidtype=spare disk=2<\/p>\n
* Create a new RAID
\ntw_cli maint createunit c0 rraid1<\/p>\n
* Create a new RAID 6 with a selection of disks
\ntw_cli maint createunit c0 rraid6 p01:5-30<\/p>\n
* : is used as comma , \u2013 as interval<\/p>\n
