What is DiSEqC?

DiSEqC is a communication bus between satellite receivers and peripheral equipment such a LNBs, switches, and antenna positioners.
DiSEqC communication occurs over the existing coaxial cable.
Eutelsat developed DiSEqC and released it to the public as an open standard.
越南三明治與「佛」
Posted in Daily, San Jose on September 7th, 2006 by Banbanli在加州，除了 華人多之外，越南人也不少，相對的餐館、小吃也不少。在San Jose State U.旁邊，有一些越南三明治的店。大概是被法國統治的吧，所以這個三明治是用法國麵包，中間切開，加上meat ball or meat loaf, 洋蔥，香菜，辣椒！！便宜又好吃，大概1.5大洋一個，吃兩個大概一餐就可以解決囉。 Read more »
震撼的事情

到底哪一條路才是正確的路？營業額跟毛利率，代工sales與Channel sales. 也許各有立足之地，不過環境與制度應該早已決定了一切，看是要妥協還是抗拒。
Daynotez ＆ Bonsai
Posted in Computer, Daily, Palm on September 5th, 2006 by Banbanli在討論區看到Daynotez這套軟體，拿來試用之後，跟Desktop版本配合之下，覺得還蠻順手的，可以彌補Palm的Memo的洋春功能。
也試用了這家軟體公司http://www.natara.com另一套軟體，Bonsai,主要是可以用階層次的方式來記錄會議大綱或是交代事項。這是可以取代Palm Todo and Task 的功能，還可以輸出到word format, 蠻不錯的。
Stevens Creek 買車記
Posted in Daily, General on September 3rd, 2006 by Banbanli那時在米國混了一年，都是借抓妹妹的車。公車、捷運不方便的南灣，沒有車，還真的是沒有腳。所以只好硬著頭皮跟老爸講說給我一些銀兩讓我買一部車。
老爸諸多考量之後，給了我「五千大洋」！！恩～說多不多，說少，還真的有點少 -_-
原本考慮要買Kawasaki 500 的重型機車，這樣應該還可以負擔得起，而且還可以在Highway 上面騎車喔，不過後來事蹟暴露，被唸了一頓。還是要買四輪的。
那天，室友Jason陪我去，看了幾一家二手的dealer之後，價錢遠超於我可以負擔，每次說我的預算是5000大洋，就好像是投出了震撼彈一樣，讓sales 百方為難，然後帶我去看一部「特別」的車，天阿～這是啥車阿～爛的不行，算了，被汙辱幾次後，打道回府。
