What is MII

The Media Independent Interface (MII) is a standard interface used to connect a Fast Ethernet MAC-block to a PHY. The MII may connect to an external transciever device via a pluggable connector or simply connect two chips on the same printed circuit board. Being media independent means that any of several different types of PHY devices can be used without redesigning or replacing the MAC hardware. The equivalents of MII for other speeds are AUI (for 10 megabit Ethernet), GMII (for gigabit Ethernet), and XAUI (for 10 gigabit Ethernet).

Group messages for Treo

這個軟體大概只會在年終的時候想到吧，大家拼命的發簡訊，之前都是用遠傳在Web的介面，不過現在也可以利用Treo手機來之前發群組訊息囉。在平常的時候，大概可以用來發B52的練習或是活動通知吧。

看PIL 上面討論的，TreoTown全系列軟體，已經變成freeware囉，對Palm的使用者，真是個好消息。

嘉義管樂節記事

1. 子棠排除萬難，既沒有帶正式服裝，也沒有帶笛子前往嘉義。一夫的驚恐之下，還有在B52鄉民的勸說之下，終於在G2000展開平生第一場走秀，也購得平生第一套西服。
2. 在喝完湖畔咖啡之後，B52鄉民前往品嚐肉圓、嘉義雞肉飯、豆漿豆花、蚵仔煎、人形燒(忘了真正叫什麼)、太鼓達人。子涵追加第二家不同口味嘉義雞肉飯口味，返回旅社休息。
3. B52鄉民在第一天的簡單驚險曲目之下，決定在第二天要「認真」演出，於是在下榻的中信飯店，產開為期三個小時的臥室四重奏，隔壁不時傳來喇叭與打擊聲音
4. 創舉全場背譜Dopplar Andante and Rondo, Double Duet ，兩部1st and 兩部2nd flute
5. <<賀>>沙小姐獲男人愛
5.1 [情報] 第一次說明為長號哥，之後更改說詞為小喇叭哥，是否有其他隱情不得而知
5.2 [情報] 應該為新竹人
5.3 [結案] 為大三，所以已經排除之前懷疑的姐弟戀
5.4 [懸疑] 表白地點可能在沙小姐樓下，尚未確定
5.5 [懸疑] 表白時間已經排除在聖誕節、復活節、感恩節、跟中秋節。目前確認大致在聖誕節前幾天
5.6 [危機] 沒有一起搭乘愛的小車，而與B52鄉民一起回台北，口角衝突難免
5.7 [情報] 已經知道<<台大醫院美麗人生包包頭事件>>，不過細節並不清楚。

Treo 680 ROM update

其實對Treo 680已經很滿意了，覺得在穩定度上面，至少比起我的PDA T5 穩定不少。不過身為smart phone 在收訊上面，當然就是要好、不斷線，我在有些環境使用下，例如在訊號很弱下接電話會reboot, 在地下室停我的小紅（沒有訊號），走上三樓還是在那邊搜尋網路，搜尋很久還找不到。在捷運地下站穿梭的時候，就會在那邊搜尋網路。

在Palm 對unlock 毫無support 之下，在PIL上看到網路上有人放出ROM，於是今天心血來潮，就來當白老鼠吧～
